AP 16 Stealth Wins Regionals &
Earns National Bid to Junior Olympics
5 AP Teams Finish Top Ten

AP 16 Stealth went a perfect 8-0 in matches at Regionals to capture the National bid to the Junior Olympics.  The Junior Olympic National tournament this year is in Dallas.  AP 16 Stealth will compete in the 16 National division on July 1-4. Congratulations Stealth!

Four more AP teams finished in the top 10 at Regionals. AP 12 Owls, AP 14 Kangaroos, AP 15 PHD and AP 18 Samurai all finished in the top 10. Fantastic job ladies!

Three more AP teams finished in the top 17.  AP 17 Eclectic finished 13th. AP 14 Black Mambas finished 15th and AP 16 Spartans finished 17th.


Two AP Teams Finish Top 10 at Far Western
AP 15 Titans Win ASC

AP 16 Stealth finished in 5th place out of more than 100 teams at the Far Western National Qualifier in Reno, NV.  Way to go Stealth!

AP 18 Samurai also finished in the top ten, with a 9th place finish. Congratulations!

AP 17 Eclectic won the silver bracket and AP 15 PHD also finished in the top 20 in Reno. Great job ladies!

AP 15 Titans went undefeated and won the ASC tournament! Good job Titans!


AP 16 Stealth Top 10 at Lone Star Classic
AP 15 PHD Wins Silver with 9-2 Record

AP 16 Stealth finished in 9th place out of more than 140 teams. The team compiled a 7-1 match record and 14-2 games record over the 3-day tournament. Congrats Stealth!

AP 15 PHD won the silver bracket to finish 17th out of 168 teams. The team finished the 3-day tournament with an impressive 9-2 match record. Great job PHD!

AP 17 Eclectic and AP 18 Samurai each finished in the silver bracket.  AP 17 Eclectic finished 25th out of 130 teams and AP 18 Samurai finished 23rd out of more than 105 teams.

AP 16 Spartans, AP 15 Katana and AP 15 Titans all earned their way to the Bronze bracket. The Spartans finished 43rd out of more than 140 teams while both Katana and Titans each also finished in the top third of the tournament, with 55th place finishes out of 168.


AP 14 Black Mambas Top 10 at Northeast Qualifier
AP 15 Katana and AP 16 Spartans - Top 21

AP 14 Black Mambas made it to the gold bracket in Baltimore, MD in the Northeast Qualifier and ultimately finished 9th overall out of 64 teams. Congratulations!

AP 15 Katana and AP 16 Spartans each made it to the silver bracket where Katana finished 19th out of 84 teams and the Spartans finished 21st out of more than 110 teams. Great job ladies!

 


Three AP Teams Win Tournaments
AP 16 Stealth Finishes 2nd in 17s

AP 14 Black Mambas finished a perfect 4-0 in matches and 8-0 in games to capture their tournament championship. Great job ladies!

AP 16 Spartans finished a perfect 4-0 in matches and 8-0 in games to capture the NB Ltd #1 tournament championship. Way to go Spartans!

AP 15 PHD finished a perfect 5-0 in matches to finish 1st in Division I of the Tournament of Stars, their 5th tournament championship of the season. Congrats PHD!

AP 16 Stealth finished 2nd in the exciting and competitive 17s division of Spring Fling. The team compiled a 5-1 match record and an impressive win over a nationals-qualified 17s team. Excellent  job Stealth!

AP 15 Gazelle finished in 2nd place in Division II of the Tournament of Stars. Way to go ladies!

AP 14 Kangaroos Perfect at TCS Finals

AP 14 Kangaroos finished a perfect 4-0 at the Texas Championship Series finals in Houston to win Division III. Congrats ladies!

AP 16 Stealth went 3-1 to finish 10th at the final Tour stop and 9th overall in the final points standings. AP 17 Eclectic took 14th overall at the final Tour stop. Way to go!

AP 15 PHD went 4-1 in the North Texas Spring Fling 15 Open division to take 5th place and AP 18 Samurai took 6th place in the 18s division. Good job ladies!


Owls, Stealth & Spartans Win Tournaments
AP 12 Moxie Finishes 3rd

AP 12 Owls captured their 3rd straight tournament championship taking 1st at the Strikers #2 tournament. Way to go Owls!

 

AP 16 Stealth captured their second tournament championship of the season by finishing 1st in the ASC #9  this weekend. Congrats Stealth!

AP 16 Spartans also captured their second tournament championship of the season by finishing 1st in the AP #1. Another great job Spartans!


AP 12 Moxie had a fantastic weekend full of great come from behind wins to finish 3rd in the Strikers #2 tournament. Great job Moxie!

 


Two Bronze Finishes in Vegas,
AP 15 Titans Finish 2nd

AP 17 Eclectic and AP 18 Samurai each earned their way to the Bronze bracket at the Las Vegas Invitational. AP 17 Eclectic finished in 25th place out of more than 100 teams and AP 18 Samurai finished 44th out of more than 150 teams.

AP 15 Titans played in the Sweetheart Challenge #1 and finished 2nd overall despite an interesting 1-game playoff format. Congrats Titans!

 


AP 16 Spartans Finish 2nd Playing Up in 17s
AP 15 PHD Finishes 5th in 17s Division &
AP 15 Gazelle Wins Bronze 

AP 16 Spartans marched their way to the final of the 2-day President's Cup 17s division and came up just short in a thrilling 3-game final. The team finished with a 4-2 match record in the fourteen-team field earning them a 2nd place finish! Congratulations Spartans!


AP 15 PHD also played up in the 17s division of the President's Cup in San Antonio. The team fell 19-17 in game 3 of the quarterfinal match and rebounded with an exciting 3-game come from behind win in the 5th place match to finish 5th out of the 14-team field. Great weekend PHD!

 

AP 15 Gazelle captured the bronze division championship at the Presidents Cup tournament. The Gazelles finished off a comeback win in the 3-game bronze final with an 18-16 win. Great job Gazelles!


AP 13 Kiraly played at the UT Open #4 tournament in San Antonio and finished in 2nd place!

AP 14 SWAT played at the Spike Sport tournament in Houston and had a very exciting day. The team finished 3rd in the field of 18 teams. Way to go SWAT!

AP 18 Samurai won five straight matches at President's Cup before falling in the semifinals. The team finished with a 3rd place match in the 13-team field.


AP 15 PHD Wins 2 Tournaments Playing Up in 16s,
AP 16 Spartans Perfect Record Earns Gold Medal &
AP 12 Owls Win Another Tournament 

AP 15 PHD played Saturday in the Hill Country Open and captured the 16s red division tournament championship behind a solid 4-0 match record and 9-1 games record.  AP 15 PHD then traveled to San Antonio on Sunday and competed in the Viper #2 where they captured a second 16s tournament championship behind another strong 4-0 match record and 10-1 games record. The 2 gold medals become the 3rd and 4th tournament championships of the season for AP 15 PHD. The team set many new AP records including being the first to win a match playing up an age division, first to win a tournament playing up an age division as well as first to win 2 tournaments in the same weekend. Way to go PHD!

 

AP 16 Spartans had an impressive weekend capturing their first tournament championship of the season, the Hill Country Open 16s green division. The team won in style with a perfect 4-0 match record and 8-0 games record. To make it even more impressive, the team played 2 of its 4 matches with players out of position and came back from an 18-22 deficit to win 25-23 in the first game of the finals versus a very determined Texstar 161 team. Congratulations Spartans!

AP 12 Owls finished with their 2nd gold medal in as many weekends capturing the ASC championship with a 4-0 match and 8-1 games record. Even more impressive, the Owls showed the maturity to win and not skip a beat without their usual coaches present. Fantastic job Owls! Hooty Hoo!

AP 16 Viper finished first in their pool at the Hill Country Open tournament and then advanced to the finals where they earned a 2nd place finish with a 3-1 match record.

AP 15 Titans won their pool at Viper #2 and advanced to the finals where they earned a second place finish. 

AP 15 Katana finished in 3rd place in the same tournament.

 


AP 17 Eclectic Wins Tour of Texas Pool &
4 More AP Teams Have Perfect Weekends

AP 17 Eclectic went 3-0 in matches and 9-3 in games at the first Tour of Texas Stop to win their pool and advance divisions before the second Tour stop. AP 16 Stealth finished 7th overall at the first Tour stop. Great job ladies! 

AP 12 Owls and AP 14 Black Mamba each finished first capturing the Strikers #1 tournament championships in their respective age divisions. 

AP 16 Spartans and AP 16 Viper each cruised to perfect 3-0 match records and 6-0 game records at the Sunday Fun tournament.

AP 13 Kiraly went a perfect 4-0 in matches and 8-1 in games to take the ASC tournament championship. The team finished a very tight finals match coming up clutch with a 15-13 game three win. Great job AP 13 Kiraly!

AP 15 PHD went a perfect 5-0 in matches and 10-1 in games to take the UT Open tournament championship.  AP 15 PHD started off the finals dropping a very tough 27-26 game one (yes, there was a cap at 27). The team responded with some of the best volleyball they've played all year taking games 2 and 3 by scores of 25-14 and 15-6. Congratulations AP 15 PHD!

AP 15 Katana, AP 15 Titans and AP 15 Gazelle each captured their pool championships at the Sunday Fun. Sunday Fun tournaments do not have playoffs so each team won as much as they were given opportunities to play. Congrats!

 

AP 12 Owls, AP 14 SWAT and AP 14 212° all took 1st in their pools. They each fell just short in the finals earning them 2nd place finishes in their respective tournaments. Great job!

Four AP Teams Qualify for TCS/Tour

Congratulations to AP 14 Black Mambas, AP 14 Kangaroos, AP 16 Stealth and AP 17 Eclectic for qualifying for the TCS/Tour of Texas.

AP Kicks Off Season With 4 Tournament Champs
... and 6 2nd Place Finishes

Four AP teams kicked off the inaugural 2007-2008 season with tournament championships and 6 more AP teams finished 2nd.

AP 14 Black Mamba, AP 15 PHD, AP 16 Stealth and AP 18 Samurai all had undefeated weekends and each finished in 1st place in their December 8-9, 2007 tournaments.

AP 12 Owls, AP 14 Kangaroos, AP 15 Titans, AP 16 Viper, AP 16 Spartans and AP 17 Eclectic all won their pools, made their way to the finals and finished as runner-ups of their December 8-9, 2007 tournaments.

Congrats AP Coaches and Players!

Congratulations to all AP players that made the 2007 playoffs as well as AP coaches Michael Kane (Hays), Jacob Thompson (Georgetown), Thomas Kane (Lake Travis), Miguel Saenz (Regents) and Lee Grisham (Wimberley) that also all made the 2007 playoffs.
